Please read: Letter to residents on the Reservoir dated June 3rd
We mourn the loss of a great friend of East Goshen today; Taylor (Mike) Merwin passed away on Wednesday June 12. Mike was a building inspector with East Goshen Township for 12 years and had recently retired from the Township.
Mike was a fine example of a public servant and will be remembered for his friendly nature and superior knowledge of the building trades.
SPECIAL MEETING
Dr. Thom Clapper, whose term expired at the end of 2013, was not seeking reelection.
In the recent primary election Ms. Janet Emanuel and Ms. Montajean Gay each won their respective parties nomination for this position. On June 10, 2013 Dr. Clapper resigned from the Board to deal with some unexpected family matters.
Under the Second Class Township Code the Board of Supervisors has 30 days to fill the vacancy on the Board.
On June 25, 2013 at 7 pm the Board of Supervisors will have a public meeting for the purpose of interviewing Ms. Janet Emanuel and Ms. Montajean Gay. At that meeting the Board intends to make an appointment to fill the vacancy.
