East Goshen Township owns a lovely 55-acre park located on Paoli Pike. Facilities at the park include the Hick Pavilion with a brick barbecue.

Since we have an active population, there are areas in the park for sports such as the baseball, softball and soccer fields, four sand volleyball courts, six tennis courts with wind screens and hitting backboard, two full-size basketball courts with additional baskets for shooting around, a 1.5 mile equipped fitness trail, a well-equipped children activity area, a putting green and a gazebo.

The park has many passive areas for sunbathing, reading, frisbee throwing, etc. The park is a popular place for walkers and joggers. It has rest room facilities and water fountains. Parking space has been enhanced and all facilities are planned and installed with the idea of maintaining a harmony with nature. The park is superbly maintained by the Public Works Department. The park closes at dusk and drinking alcohol is prohibited.

Note: Before using tennis courts, residents should purchase an annual Tennis Tag at a cost of $15.00 per year at the Township Building.

Groups interested in use of the park should obtain a permit at the Township Building and submit it will in advance of your desired date. Permittees must be Township residents.

The Park and Recreation Board sponsors a diverse group of activities for residentsenjoyment and mental and physical fitness. These activities are fun year-round and include many sports as well as cerebral and instructional courses, clinics and tournaments such as the Annual Tennis Tournament. Activities are fun for all age groups. The popular and in some ways unique Children summer daycamp is well staffed and organized.

A Senior Citizens "Leisure Group," which meets most Wednesday afternoons at the Township Building is also sponsored by the Board.
